The Agent They Call is a brand of Darkhorse Traders LLC. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to make us stop or delete it.
What we collect
When you grade a website
We collect the website address you type in. We open that public website on our own test phone, take a screenshot of it, and save what we found, such as text that overlaps, the first button on the page, and the dates of sales it shows. We keep the result so you can come back to it on its own private link.
When you ask for your side-by-side
We collect your name, email, mobile number (if you add it) and the city you sell in.
When you agree to calls and texts
If you tick the box agreeing that we may call or text you, we keep a record of that choice so we can prove it and honor it. The record holds the exact words you agreed to, the date and time, the page you were on, the phone number, your browser and device type, and a one-way scrambled code made from your internet connection. We can't turn that code back into your address. We keep the same kind of record when you don't tick the box.
When we make a private preview for you
Some agents get a private preview page made just for them. It shows their current website next to a rebuilt version. It uses only information that's already public, like your name, photo, brokerage, areas and listings from your own website and public profiles. Preview pages are hidden from Google and other search engines, and only people with the link can open them. When a preview or plan page we made for you is opened, we're notified that it was opened.
What we don't collect
We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics services on this site. To protect the site from abuse, we count how often requests come from the same connection, using the same one-way scrambled code described above.
How we use it
- To grade your website and show you the result.
- To build your side-by-side or private preview.
- To contact you about your website, the walkthrough, and our website services. Calls and texts come from a real person on our team, never an automated system.
- To keep records of consent and opt-outs, so we can prove and honor your choices.
- To keep the site secure and working.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use a few service providers to run the site, and they handle data only to provide that service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database, and runs the test phone that opens websites for grading.
- Our email provider delivers the emails we send you.
- Google, when we use its PageSpeed test to measure how fast a website loads. Only the website address is sent.
Text messaging. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of selling or reorganizing the business. If that happens, this policy still applies to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we're talking with you or working together, and for a reasonable time after. We keep consent and opt-out records for at least five years, because they're how we prove and honor your choices. Grades and screenshots may be deleted sooner.
Your choices
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any text from us.
- Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
- Stop everything: use our opt-out page to take your phone and email off every list we have.
- See, fix or delete your information: contact us. We'll delete what we hold about you, except the opt-out record we need so we never contact you again, and anything the law requires us to keep.
- Remove a private preview made about you: contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), keep our inbox behind a login, and store as little as we can. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that nothing will ever go wrong.
Children
This site is for real estate professionals. It's not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
